Case History 1:
Black Sea
Two pipelines have been laid across the Black Sea. To prevent upheaval of one of them due to forces from thermal expansion, we supplied concrete log blankets for installation at the
junction of the Russian continental shelf and the deep basin. Due to the slope of the sea bed at this point they were placed at an angle of between 4 and 22 degrees, and so required
anchoring.
In our elegant solution steel blades were used on the log blankets to provide lateral resistance by penetrating the very soft soil. The blankets were made heavy enough to ensure full
penetration of the blades yet light enough not to cause excessive settlement into the soil.

Case History 2:
Dalton Millom Structures
We were asked to design a spool piece protection structure that would accommodate the rotation of a wellhead and associated movement of the spool piece. The design had to be small
enough to transport by road and to install with available cranes, yet also had to be able to resist loads from striking trawl boards.
We designed and manufactured a structure that could be transported and installed in sections, but that when mated together was strong enough to resist the specified impact loads.
