Field Joint MasticPipeshield manufacture and supply a range of mastics, which can be supplied in both Granular and Slab form. Most offshore lay barges now prefer to use the Granular product because it is easier to handle and melts down more rapidly in offshore mastic kettles.

Field Joint TestingExtensive test work has been carried out using a purpose-made jig to assess the response of mastic joints to impact loading. This helps ensure that the mastic we use has the right hardness and resistance to fracture for a given job.

Polyurethane Foam infillWe provide a non-toxic polyurethane infill system, which is injected around the field joint void using special foam application equipment so as to form a uniform infilled joint. We can carry out offshore application of the foam material, including equipment and supervision, or supply materials only. |
